Excellent gem of a caravan park. Great Lakes views.
Fantastic well run CVP.
Very clean amenities.
10 stars for Matt, Jo and all the staff.
The location is breathtaking by the lake with a boat ramp . The positives it’s clean and a great view .
The ducks gave us a very warm welcome
The negative . I was unwell so requested an ensuite … wow come on $21 plus for one night . Have travelled 5 states and territories and never paid more than $12 before .
Seems a bit heavy .
The only other thing is the lower powered are near a road and even after midnight cars constantly using it for fishing and boating .
Great place to stay for a few nights. Very neat and tidy with clean facilities.
Great spot, great amenities including a ce, ommunity kitchen with microwave and dishwater, hot and cold water, beautiful scenery
2nd visit. Snagged a high site out running Alfred cyclone. Next to NP. Even though weather not ideal, still a nice spot. Local eateries, petrol station…..didn’t get a chance to do reserve walk along foreshore this visit. We will return.
What a piece of heaven!
Facilities clean and function well, cabin was perfect, well stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Bird life plentiful and friendly. Staff beautiful. Local businesses are great,
RSL food awesome locals friendly. I Highly recommend staying here we will be back because 2 nights was not long enough
We only came here to join friends for a picnic at the foreshore but we also strolled around the van park grounds. The van park has location in spades being right on the shore of Lake Macquarie, it's got amazing views from most sites and great access to the water for swimming, fishing, kayaking. Roads in the park are tight but worth the extra manoeuvring for the view.
What a delightful place on the beautiful lake! The manager was very welcoming and helpful. Some tight spots to park a caravan but next time we’ll ask for easier access. Views from all sights. Beautiful bush walk from the park.
We have our own van and stay at the park regularly. It is a beautiful park right on the point at Wangi. It's close to the shops and eateries. The grounds are well set out with gardens, fire pits, BBQ area and playground for the kids. There's also a jetty. Huge trees offer shade. Jo and Matt are friendly and knowledgeable on the area. It's a fantastic place to stay.
Great location with powered pitches only metres from Lake Maquarie. Facilities very nice with timed and pre set temperature showers. Courtesy bus to the RSL club available with a $2 per person return fee. Very quiet at night 😴. Sites have communal fire pits which is nice and the Possums come out at night to say hello! 🦦. Only downside for us was the price of $60 per night which is a bit pricey.
Beautiful holiday park. But you must respect the land you walk on as Awabakal council managed. Strick rules to protect and please don't feed the animals. Only the correct food can be used but not incourage. This place is a beautiful spot to visit to see the best sunrise and sunsets. Not a permanent residency. Just to be enjoyed for holiday purposes only. Or the perfect short term home office.
What a beautiful, beautiful spot! A couple of metres from the water's edge lays this practical though a little dated caravan and camping park. Toilets have been renovated and look and function well. Boat ramp just metres away. Peaceful location. Happy customers.
Nice caravan and unit park at the end of the Wangi peninsula. It’s a bit remote but in a good location. Be aware there are camping/ van sites available in the bush just past the main campground that are in a great location and I’m surprised I wasn’t offered one of those instead of the boring slab sites. Btw, it’s pronounced ‘wun-gee’, not ‘Wang-e’ apparently. Who knew.
Very nice and beautiful place next to a lake, beautiful views from the campsite.
Clean toilets and showers, very friendly receptionist.
You can see many birds here (lorikeets, ducks, pelicans, sulfur-crested cockatoo, kookaburras, …) and it’s a very quiet place.
There are also nice fire places!

The only problem is that the clothes line is directly under a tree where many birds are sitting… maybe they could find a better location for it 😅

Get Inspired…
