I like the park it's close to the river. We had a premium site large plenty of room. The park is well maintained and the staff are friendly. The amenities are clean with large showers with a good hot flow.
The camp kitchen is lovely as is the BBQ area with tables and shelter.
There's a small pool although a family with a couple of kids staying in the cabins used the pool letting their kids in the water with no nappies even though they were both in nappies. That was a little off putting.
Fantastic park! Very well laid out, lots of thought has gone into the planning. Premium sites were double slab with a concrete drive long enough for you to park out the front.
Amenities were spotless, up there with the cleanest we've seen.
It looks a bit poky from the street but once inside it was fine.
We'll definitely stay there again.
Not long ago we limped(our car was experiencing transmission problems) into this wonderful caravan park. The rain was pouring down, we had not been able to get into another park (because of flooding) but at reception Sue and Colin opened their hearts to us and found a spot in the park (which ended up being nearly 2 weeks) until our car was back on the road. Needless to say it was a beautiful place to stay, close to the shops (10-15mins to Woolies and Coles) beautiful scenic spots and walks with a great club called "Belmont 16s sailing club" nearby which provided amazing views of Lake Macquarie, delicious meals and entertainment. The park facilities (toilets, showers, pool, laundry, lawns BBQ area and community kitchen were kept spotless..the caravan sites were quite large on lawn or concrete...a lovely place to stay..can thoroughly recommend it!And Sue's comment,"we like to treat people as we'd like to be treated" sums up our experience perfectly!..
The park is well laid out with majority of permanent sites.
The caravan sites are large and have plenty of room.
The amenities are great with incredible showers that are spotlessly clean.
A number of sites had their furry friend yet it was quiet. There was a van with small children that was more noisy than any of the dogs.
We only stayed for 2 nights but wish me had more time,
Stayed for 5 nights while my father had surgery. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly staff member. The cabin we stayed in was excellent. Huge open kitchen living room. Two bedrooms, both with double beds. Bathroom was a but on the small side. Price per night was reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.
The park is well maintained amenities are lovely and clean.
The Managers Sue and Colin are two of the nicest people we have meet in all our caravan travels.
Firstly 5 stars for answering your phone after hours. You guys were the only place to answer, not only did you put us on a powered sites for the night you lent us a power cord to keep our lights on aswell.
Your after hour service was so appreciated, you will definitely see us back in the future.
What a fabulous place to stay...do nothing or do it all. Great shopping nearby, cafes, restaurants all within walking distance. The lake offers peace and tranquillity. Lovely accommodation, clean and beautifully maintained. Sue...you're a gem. Thank you
Came to stay in a cabin for the weekend we both had a fantastic time .We arrived to a warm friendly welcome by the staff a beautiful place to stay . although two days we had a bit of heavy rain, we were still able to make the most of our small break and enjoyed going up to the local 16f skiff club for drinks and a meal would definitely recommend sales holiday park for a place to stay on the beautiful Lake Macquarie look forward to visiting again thanks Jenelle
The lady at check in was so happy and welcoming setting a lovely tone for the stay - rare to get such good customer service nowadays. We just had a short stay but found lots to do. It was particularly nice looking out over the water with a drink and snack for sunset. Only problem - which is not the holiday park’s problem at all, was the heavy smoker in the van next to us who ruined our time in the van. I know smokers have a right to smoke but some consideration to others’ enjoyment would be good.
What can I say. Absolutely fantastic caravan park and the awesome concrete slabs for large Caravans, motorhomes and vehicles. Perfect set up for the awnings and to enjoy outdoor living. Power, water and drainage was impressive. Perfect location near Lake Macquarie. Shops, clubs. For bike riding, walking. Love the swimming pool, BBQ area and kitchen. Ablution block, laundry, pet bath and dump point very easy access and clean. The grounds and gardens fabulous. So quiet, bird life extraordinary. Wonderful to share with friends. The office staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. Thank you, I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this park. 👌 Lyn
What a Wonderful experience…
We stayed early January for 2 nights travelling with our fur baby. We booked the pet friendly cabin. It was perfect. It had its own fenced area and a doggie door. Perfect for our English Staffy.
Special mention, Sue at reception was absolutely fabulous so friendly & helpful.
This holiday park is well maintained lovely gardens and grass areas. You won’t be disappointed… We will definitely stay again.
We can’t fault this park, always clean and tidy. Great location, sites are large and well maintained.
We will be back
Fantastic cabin incredibly good conditions.
I have just a couple of issues for the disabled and young.
Beds are too high off floor.
Need a duller dimmer night light for bathroom.
The automatic front door pressure switch needs to be reduced to save fingers.
Some tutoring should be included in the use of the advanced automatic accessories.
Please this doesnt detract from the comfort we felt and my 93 yr old mum still managed ok.
We were travelling up from Victoria with a large trailer with a boat on it. We rang up late in the day wanting to stay that night and spoke to the manager, can’t remember his name. He was lovely and went out of his way to find us an easy parking spot to park the car and boat. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and it was lovely, nice and clean with comfy beds. Short walk to places to eat and amazing sunsets at the beach.
Just returned from six nights at Sails (van site 308). As we were catching up with family we were given a spot very near their site. The staff were wonderful from booking, to arrival and departure. Pet friendly (we had our cocker with us) and there is a cabin with a little enclosed yard for people with no van but a fur baby. Smallish park but VERY well kept, clean toilets/showers & laundry - nice pool. Good size camp kitchen & nice BBQ area and the Wifi worked great!. Close walk to water front, sea pool, cafes, clubs. Woolies, Coles & Aldi within walking distance or a short drive. Next time I would book a premium slab site - just in case - as it rained quite a bit while we were there. Thanks so much for a relaxing stay. Best Wishes
I find Sails Caravan Park, a very pleasing experience, staff are very friendly and helpful the grounds are well maintained, the new additions ( Clamping Cabins, and multiple room cabins),certainly enhances the parks capability, along with the new disabled facilities..
All in all a very pleasant place to stay.

I have stayed at Sails Holiday Park (caravan site) a number of occasions and have found each time to be a positive experience. It’s quiet, the amenities are clean, the new slab sites are great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
We can't rate the rooms (as we didnt hire a cabin) We stayed only 1 night in car (last minute) early May 2024 . Staff were helpful to get us a spot to pull in with our car, and have a safe night sleep (in car) on a concrete slab! It was appreciated due to rain that night (and not needing to park on grass). We paid $44 for use of the park services, shower, toilets etc. A little expensive for a 'virtual tent' site ', but we were just grateful to lay down our heads safely! And so thankful for the hospitality we did get (allowing us to sleep in the car with our dogs), we were very thankful! Its a very clean and comfotable park. Seems to have some friendly permanate residents who didn't mind our small intrusion overnight. Our dogs are lapdogs and were well behaved, so everyone slept all night peacefully. It seems like a nice park overall. Would return here again.
Close to beach large park with playground and swimming pool. Plenty of clean toilets, showers, and clothes line space. Close to the village.
We had an overnight stop here. Customer service was great. Drive through site was fabulous and easy - not super wide and spacious but was still good. Neat little park with good roads / foot paths etc
Lovely small caravan park, well maintained, great pool and camp kitchen, short walk to shops and club
Great family friendly location. If you have pets, they are welcome, no problems. Nice place to get away.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We were travelling from Brisbane to Melbourne and needed a spot last minute for our 12 mtr set up. We called them and they had a powered spot that was more than accommodating for our needs. The staff were above 5 star. Super friendly and couldnt be more helpful. Amenities and park were so clean and beautiful. Definitely recommend. We would be back all the time, if it was closer to Brisbane 😄 Thank you 🥰
Managed to grab a spot at short notice, site and service both sensational!

I was travelling up from Canberra at late notice and needed a spot to fit a larger caravan. Spoke to reception and they spotted me straight in on a massive grass site with power / water. Site size is definitely a strong point at Sails!!!

Another advantage was a great amount of visitor parking as well!!!

Amenities were older, but everything was very clean and in good order.

Would happily stay here again!!!
Stayed for the weekend in the new new Safari tents these are absoultely amazing cannot fault them at all will definately stay here again. Park is so clean and quiet.
As a Grey Nomad l found this park one of the best l have come across in my travels! The sites are all spacious, some fully concreted for van/awning and car, others nicely grassed, while others are drive through. The driveways allow a wide turning circle and all sites are level. This location is a short stroll to Lake Mackenzie and a 2 minute drive to Coles and Woolworths.
We had a very quiet and peaceful few nights stay with our pet and would highly recommend it for a stopover.
10/10 recommend this beautiful caravan park. Our most recent stay it was wonderful to see such a commitment to creating inclusive environments for everyone to be able to enjoy this neighbourhood.
The improvements we could see happening around us, including the new glamping tents with ramp access and safe pathways all around was wonderful!
The trades were respectful, starting at later times and finishing early, and park manager was very informative when we asked about what was happening and we cannot wait to come back see once it’s all finished!
This caravan park was a great find. The powered sites are large and grassy and the communal areas are well equipped and very welcoming. The park is conveniently located not far from the highway but being in a back street it's quiet and peaceful particularly at night. It's within easy walking distance to the water, shops and clubs. The manager Lisa was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this park.
