Celebrating an Outstanding Night at the 2026 CCIA Awards.
We’re incredibly proud of our Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park team following a fantastic night at the Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW Awards of Excellence on 13 August 2026.
Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park won the Innovation Award at the Caravan and Camping Industry Association NSW ceremony on 13 August, while Holiday Parks Coordinator Garry Ellem was named the industry’s Employee of the Year.
The innovation award recognised a suite of measures and facilities introduced at Swansea Lakeside in the past 12 months, including new sensory rooms, new accessible barbecue facilities and amenities, a new all-abilities exercise precinct, a new website designed to be fully accessible and specialised training for all staff.
Every step forward and every improvement is guided by our vision to make inclusive tourism mainstream. Through the universal design lens, we are always on the lookout for what else we can do that makes our parks easier to navigate and enjoy.
Swansea Lakeside also won Bronze in the NSW Holiday Park of the Year category and was a finalist for best NSW Holiday Park on Crown Land.
These awards are a wonderful recognition of the passion, hard work and commitment our team puts into creating memorable experiences for our guests every day. The team’s focus on innovation and improving accessibility is helping more people enjoy everything Lake Macquarie has to offer.
